Apple on Thursday released a new version of Final Cut Studio that boasts 100 new features. This new version has updates to Final Cut Pro, Soundtrack Pro, Motion, Compressor and Color. Each new version of the updates includes a plethora of updates. The price has come down by $300 at now a $999 price point. Current users can upgrade for just $299. I could tell you about each feature, but you’re probably going to want to go to the Apple site and look for yourself as they have illustrated it quite well with both photo and video.

There have been rumors of an event for a couple weeks now regarding the upcoming event on March 24th. Since Apple has just refreshed almost all of its entire lineup it makes sense that the latest news says the event will focus on software. Sevenmac is reporting that an internal build exists of a new Final Cut, but we would think something bigger, like Snow Leopard would warrant such an event. We would also hope to see the newly rumored iPhone refresh as well. We only have 15 more days left to see what else Apple has for us.
