First Japan, Now America Getting Xbox 360 Price Cut

A Few days ago Microsoft announced it would be cutting the price of the Xbox 360 in Japan, now the discount comes to America. Microsoft is trying to hit the sweet spot of under $200. According to Microsoft, previous consoles, a la PS2 have shown that the $199 price accounts for 75 percent of console sales.

Movies Now Shipping on USB Drives

PNY has released a new 2Gb usb drive that comes preloaded with a movie. The first movie to ship is Ghostbusters. Why they chose ghostbuster first is a mystery , but at least it is a memorable movie to keep us busy.
The music industry has done this prior to the movie industry, but it will be interesting to see if people actually have a collection of USB key’s for their movies, we doubt it. The down side is they have DRM.

Google has again released yet another product, well this time a revision. The program Picasa which many use for uploading and saving their picture files has received the blessing of facial recognition.
The program now attempt’s to recognize the people in each picture by name given, and sort them to add simplicity to your Labeling of pictures.

The regulation of energy consumption is driving us to alternative energy savers such as the fluorescent bulb’s which are worse for the environment if broken due to its Mercury content.
