Sony has now launched its service for PS3 called "Life". The free service provides news, weather and live camera images from 60 cities around the world. Eventually there will be more content added as the service progresses. So go download it for you who have the PS3, it’s available as we type this.

New Screenshots of Ad that Replaces Gates and Seinfeld

The Bill and Seinfeld ads have gone away and now we have a replica of the Mac switcher ads, but this time from Microsoft. Here are the first shots of the new ad and their attempt to get back at Apple. The Seinfeld and Gates ads were a bit funny, but they did nothing to tell you about the products they were selling. Now Microsoft has taken this in a new direction. We’ll have to wait to see the ad, but something tells me it will not be as funny as the past 2 ads, or I could be wrong.

Plastic Logic Opens its Factory in Germany

We had the announcement a week or two ago from Plastic Logic regarding the new incredibly thin E-Reader meant for businesses. The factory to produce them is up and running and opened today. The new factory will be manufacturing the newspaper sized, flexible plastic sheets with an E-Ink display in them, although there is no set ship date as of now. We would expect to see them sometime next year for mainstream consumption and we yet to have retail models to see what kind of battery life and features they have. This would certainly be a must have item if they prove to be as nice as the pictures and videos they have shown.

The 22nm Chip is Right Around the Corner say IBM

IBM has come up with a method to develop a 22nm chip, thus reducing power and size. IBM made the announcement today about its techniques and innovations to produce the chip. The process is not fully explained and probably due to pending patents, but their plan is to make the chip widely available for all.
