Many of you have come across an article recently on Facebook that has to do with location of the photos that you take with your cell phone. Just about every cell phone has this feature and it allows your phone to locate itself when you snap a photo. While the article spins this as a very bad thing, the truth is that “Geotagging” as its called, can help you remember or know where you took a photo at a later date. Applications such as iPhoto can show you photos based on location and allow you to see where exactly your photos were taken. However, in the instance that you want to share your photo online and would not like to let the whole world have access to this information, there is a way to turn Geotagging off.
If you have an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch running iOS6 or older, follow the steps below to turn off location for camera.ip
