Apple sent out quite a few iCloud Beta invites some time ago, giving the opportunity to experience their iWork suite in the cloud. Until today, the traditional iOS6 design with rich textures, representing the now dated look of iOS and its design philosophy, were faithfully translated for those who made their way to iCloud.com. Apple today transitioned the majority of icons on beta.icloud.com to the new, flat look of iOS7. As you can see in the image above, Apple has moved Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Notes, Reminders and Find my iPhone to the new iOS7 style design, but has still not updated Pages, Numbers and Keynote.
The final transition for all icons on iCloud.com, Apple.com and the upcoming OSX Mavericks still have yet to be updated and at this point may not be for the time being. Apple is rumored to be having an event on September 10th which many believe will be the reveal of the iPhone 5S and a possible lower cost iPhone C model. iOS7 is also expected to be finalized and available to the public on the same day.
If you don’t have an iCloud Beta login or haven’t been invited, you can still see the design theme and icons in the background by going to http://beta.icloud.com.
