Prototype MacBook Air Surfaces From Ebay Purchase
Rarely do we see any prototype products that emerge from Apple. This lucky member of the MacRumors forum "Brett33", purchased a MacBook Air "as is" from Ebay for $730 and once recieved, he had realized he had something very special. The MacBook Air he recieved turned out to have a black aluminum bottom and was lacking the words "MacBook Air" from the screen bezel. The MacBook also came supplied with the interim build Mac OS X 10.5 (8R4016). Upon the new owners investigation, he found that the serial number was for May 2007, a full 6-months prior to the the release of the MacBook Air. Although not often seen, Apple prototypes have been seen in the wild.
Apple Gives Details About Last MobileMe Update
MobileMe has not been the most friendly of apps. Apple has gone to great lengths to please their customers by offering them a total of 90 free days onto their existing year if they experienced the many outages. Apple has now posted a technical bulletin outlining the updates that MobileMe received in late September. Apple is usually very "hush-hush" about their updates and it is nice to see them branch out and let us in on what has really changed. The updates for MobileMe cover the entire spectrum of the product from stabilization to improving the user experience. See more after the jump…
Via Apple:
Apple is always working to improve MobileMe. Since MobileMe is primarily a server-side, or "cloud"-based, service, the MobileMe team can make improvements and push updates to MobileMe without any action being required of MobileMe customers. Since server-side updates are a bit more innocuous than a standard software update to Mac OS X or Microsoft Windows, it’s easy not to notice that updates are occurring. Usually the only hint of these updates is that things just "work better".

Finder To Become Cocoa Based in Snow Leopard
According to Apple Insider, the new version of OS X coming to us sometime next year will have a Finder completely redone in Cocoa. Traditionally the Finder was done in Carbon and will finally get a revamp to the new code-base platform. This could bring speed and extra nicety to the finder for all who enjoy the quality of their Mac.
The new version of Leopard will also include Image Boot. This feature has the ability to let you put a copy of the OS onto another hard drive or partition on your internal hard drive and allows you to boot from it.
What else could Apple have for us in January as they have almost exhausted all of their products in the past year or so.
